As we head into our final few days before Christmas, here are some thoughts to keep with you:

This is a quote from the book "The Grinch who Stole Christmas" which has always been one of my favorites because of the message it conveys. That Christmas is not just a day but a state of mind that many of us seem to forget the other 364 days of the year.
So enjoy your holiday, cherish your friends and loved ones, and keep the spirit of Christmas with you year round.

OMG! I actually tuned in yo GH yesterday and watched as Natalia's run on GH comes to a close. Shockingly I found myself tearing up as Rebecca/Natalia said her goodbyes to the Q's. I'm such a fangurl of Natalia's, the Q's and Em that I was overwhelmed with sadness. I've watched GH since the days of the disco floor rape and after today's show have no plans of continueing to watch this shite! So I guess Chad not only is helping to usher Natalia from GH and put the last nail in our NikE's coffin, but also usher this 30+ year GH fan off, too. I'm sad to say goodbye, but with another Soap being cancelled I can see the writing on the wall. And face it...how far is GH from being the next soap to be cancelled? LOL! I'm sure Ty-Ty will still be blamming Natalia for something when that day comes. Oh Hell Yes...you could say that I'm still bitter after all this time. Burn in hell Luza, Ty-Ty, all his fangurl minnions, and Niz! I'll be watching today with sadness as Natalia is free'd from this shite and our Nike is finally put to rest. And to the Zem fans...I guess you get the last laugh. A wink and a nod my ARSE! :( And don't take me wrong...I adore Chad, but for me it will always be about our couple. I'll miss the Pretty Forever...they deserved so much better than this! **Le Sigh! But most of all I am grateful for all the friends that I've gained along the way! You Lady's ROCK! Love you all! I haven't watched yesterday yet. *sigh*
Today is our Bastille Day, as Laura would say. We'll be free once more. I'm on the fence as to whether I'll watch any more after this point. I'm as detatched as I've ever been, so it doesn't typically hurt to watch it anymore. It's rare that I even feel disgusted anymore. And yet, I understand feeling sad. I know that if I have to watch scenes with faux Emily and what's left of the Q's it will be hard to stay detached. When NEm started out, the Qs were so integral to the show and to NEm as a couple that I do feel nostalgic over seeing them again.
Still, to me, Nikolas and Emily are BOTH gone. He died with her and they remain in my memory fondly. More than fondly. But that's where they have to stay. GH wants to use and abuse their fanbase for various purposes and I'm done being played. Fine - ZEM are the period at the end of this '09 sentence. I'm so beaten down that half of me cheers for it. There's no reward for being a fan of anything on GH. I've more than learned that.
So today ends many hopes and expectations for this run with Natty. And so many of us have moved on. And finally I feel alright with it. I'm at peace. It's a semi-bitter peace, but it's a peace. :-)
I'll be interested in seeing how it all plays out today.

I don't think there are any laughs from anyone today. For Zem fans I'm happy. The show trashed them and if this gives them some positive closure, I'm happy. But mostly I'm happy that Natty just didn't disappear off canvas and they gave her departure some thought, even if it's not much.
I felt the Q scenes yesterday were another bone. Many fans felt cheated when Emily died and that the Q's never got closure. I felt this was it, weak as it was and even though she's not Emily, it was kind of nice anyway.
I won't be watching. I haven't watched much as it is so it's no loss to me. And I doubt the show is going to be around long enough to tune back in at some point again. I'm not much interested in any of the stories - well maybe Lucky - but that's really it so I won't miss it. I've left before. Unlike last time, I'm not much interested in what happens with Nikolas. AS some said the Nikolas I loved I think died some time ago.
And to all here have a very very happy holiday. And cherish what and who you have in your life.
God I hate this show! Stupid Arse Dikolas is at Em's grave again whining about not really getting to have the HO Lizzard! And he's going to turn his life around this year, "Babe." Hey Guza...she's DEAD! You didn't write this much for Natalia as the very alive Rebecca. So guess what?! FU! Arghhh!!

Hey it was better than his whining the last time. And I don't get the point of Rebecca being there unless it was symbolism
I liked fake Zem scene. It was sweet and "Zander" telling "Emily" she had the most beautiful eyes was a nod to Zem if I recall. I remember Chad's Zander telling NL's Emily that.
He looked great and it was a sweet scene and nice sendoff. I'm sorry Natty's stint this time didn't work. BUt I'd actually welcome Rebecca back sometime in the distant future. I thought she did Rebecca as edgy way OTT but I thought her portrayal of Rebecca as bitch like she'd been the past couple of weeks was actually pretty good.
I don't expect to see her back ever and IMO it's just as well. She'll do better elsewhere
Unlike the last time Natalia left today I was excited about her leaving. It was sort of an early Christmas Gift for her fans now we don't have to tune in to this fake immatation of a soap anymore.
I am so ready to move on and I hope Natty all the luck on her next adventure hopefully it comes soon.
Natalia and Chad had more chemistry in that 2 minute scene then Nyler had all year. Coming from me that is huge because I was a huge Nyler fan.
Although after everything I was sort of shocked they didn't give Nik and Becca a final scene but oh well it's finally over. GH sucks..
I will always have my NEM and Nyler memories from 2003-2007...

My own opinion in terms of no Natty/Tyler scenes is it's been deliberate.They can't very well sell a new Nikolas pairing with his old screen partner still hanging around and I do think despite online feedback, there were tons of fans out there who were still hoping for her as Emily. And personally while I detest the Liz character, I'm glad the majority of Natty's final work was with Becky and Jonathan and not Tyler. And that final scene with the Q's was quite nice.
THey had that little scene at Emily's grave. I have no idea what the significance of Rebecca being there unless it was another nod to Nem or something of the kind who knows.
And I liked the final scene. And I have to agree. That one scene had more chemistry than NL/TC have had together her entire time back. It just shows I think that characters combined with actors make it work.
Here's that Chad and Natty scene for those who didn't see it. They are pretty. And I liked her asking him as he stared at her if she reminded him of someone(you know how she hated being compared to Emily) and he said no and told her she had the most incredible eye.
Can I say I agree Kim that Chad and Natty had more chem in that one scene than Tyler and Natty did this go around. Chad made a scene that was a little over a minute quite rememberable.

I don't get the point of Rebecca overhearing Nik unless it was intended to be symbolism for Emily.
I caught part of yesterday's show but did not watch today. I had not desire to see Nikolas "talking" to Emily about being in love with his brother's girl. It just pisses me off!! I am not sure when or if I will ever watch GH again. It is sad really, I have watched for years and have never been this down on the show.
The Chad and Natty scene was absolutely lovely! What a breath of fresh air on this stinking show! I loved it. I hope she has tremendous success far far away from GH.
